Friday nights are hot at Hollywood Park with exciting thoroughbred racing under the lights and a full schedule of concerts slated for the Spring/Summer meet.
Friday night, May 23, will bring out the Journey tribute band, Journey Unauthorized.
Don't miss the tribute show that provides nothing less than a great rendition of the 1980's Journey.
Experience the full-range of Journey's multi-part harmonies as in Lights, Separate Ways, Who's Cryin' Now, etc., to span the entire era of Journey's repertoire with not only the Steve Perry material, but with the inclusion of Gregg Rolie's lead vocals Anytime, Feeling That Way, and to deliver a high-energy show that's packed with all recognizable songs and mega-hits like Open Arms, Don't Stop Believin', Faithfully, Any Way You Want It, Wheel In the Sky, and many more.
The recently remodeled Ascot Terrace, at the south end of the Clubhouse, provides the perfect, under the stars setting for the concerts.
The concerts are free with your paid Clubhouse admission ($10) prior to the seventh race. After the seventh race, admission to the concert is $20 so come early!
As always with Friday night racing, there will be $1 draft beer (until 9 p.m.) and $1 Pepsi and hot dogs all night long in the grandstand, Clubhouse and the popular Jockey Club Bar above the Ascot Terrace stage.

The Friday night concerts, plus one special Thursday night concert on July 3, will begin shortly after the last live race at approximately 10:25 p.m.
Have dinner in the Turf Club while you watch the races, then make your way over to the Ascot Terrace and listen to your favorite songs. Remember, each table in the Turf Club is equipped with a TV so you won't miss any sports action. Night racing is scheduled for every Friday during the Spring/Summer Meet with the exception of May 2 and July 4. There will be special night racing on Thursday, July 3, followed by a concert TBA.
