Tyler Baze A Perfect Four-For-Four To Move Atop Standings; Upset In Feature Helps Generate $88,340 Pick Six Carryover

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (May 2, 2008) - Tyler Baze won with each of his four mounts Friday afternoon at Hollywood Park , including a victory in the $62,600 allowance/optional claiming feature aboard 14-1 shot Plug Me In.

The victory aboard Plug Me In set the stage for a Pick Six carryover of $88,340 on Saturday at Hollywood Park. Track gates open at 7:30 a.m. with a special 12 noon post time for the program, which includes the simulcast of the Kentucky Derby.

Baze vaulted over his cousin, Michael Baze, with the quadruple to take over top spot in the jockeys' standings with ten wins through eight racing days.

The 25-year-old, who won an Eclipse Award as the nation's outstanding apprentice jockey in 2000, rode Cape Diver ($30) to victory in the first race, Molly McFast ($8.20) in the third, Plug Me In ($31.60) in the fifth and Quickly Gone ($7.40 ) in the sixth.

Plug Me In, trained by Marcelo Polanco for Everest Stables, covered one mile on the Lakeside Turf Course in 1:34.09 en route to a one-length victory over Dilemma. Charmo, the 2-1 favorite, finished another three-quarters of a length back in third.

The victory was the fifth in 27 start s for 5-year-old Plug Me In, who banked $36,600 to raise his earnings to $312,744.
