Tough Tiz's Sis Returns To Hollypark Following Henson Win

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (May 2, 2008) - Tough Tiz's Sis, winner of the Harry Henson Memorial Stakes at Sunland Park in her last start, returns to the track where the late announcer made his mark as she carries high weight of 121 pounds in Sunday's $100,000 Hawthorne Handicap at Hollywood Park.

The 4-year-old daughter of Tiznow won the Hollywood Oaks here last summer and finished second in the Bayakoa Handicap here in December. Owned by Karl Watson and Paul Weitman, the Bob Baffert-trained filly has six wins, four seconds and two thirds in 16 starts for earnings of $562,692.

The field of seven for the 1 1/16-mile Hawthorne will line up as follows from the rail out:

Tough Tiz's Sis, with Aaron Gryder up, 121 pounds; Glorified, Rafael Bejarano, 116; Stormin Mom, Jose Valdivia Jr., 114; Fleetheart, Martin Garcia, 114; Dawn After Dawn, Victor Espinoza, 117; Rivoltella, Richard Migliore, 114, and Santa Teresita, Michael Baze, 117.

Dawn After Dawn, winner of the La Canada Stakes at Santa Anita in February, returns to Southern California from Keeneland, where she finished third in the Madison Stakes on April 9. She has won four of 16 starts and $414,373.

Glorified was beaten a neck by Tiz Elemental in the Los Flores Handicap at Santa Anita on April 6. The Ron Ellis-trained filly as won twice while finishing in the money in five of six starts.

Santa Teresita has won three straight races for trainer David Hofmans. The 4-year-old daughter of Lemon Drop Kid broke her maiden here in December, won an allowance race in mid-March and captured the Santa Lucia Handicap while making her last start on April 12 at Santa Anita.

Rivoltella, winner of the 2007 Washington Oaks at Emerald Downs, won the Kachina Handicap at Turf Paradise in January before shipping to Sunland Park and finishing eighth behind Tough Tiz's Sis in the Harry Henson.

Stormin Mom switches to the main track after finishing seventh on turf in the Las Cienegas Handicap, while Fleetheart tries to rebound from a sixth-place finish in the Santa Lucia.

The 35th running of the Hawthorne Handicap goes as the fifth of nine races Sunday at Hollywood Park. First post time is 1:20 p.m.
