Multi-Million Dollar Pick Six Pool Expected Wednesday
When Racing Resumes With 1:20 P.M. Post At Hollywood Park
INGLEWOOD, Calif. (April 29, 2008) - A Pick Six carryover of $555,186 is expected to generate a minimum pool of $2 million when racing resumes Wednesday at Hollywood Park.
Hollywood Park, which became the first U.S. track to offer the Pick Six with the popular carryover provision in 1983, generated the world's richest Pick Six pool at the 2007 Spring/Summer Meet when a record four-day Pick Six carryover of $3,274,505.48 generated a single-day record Pick Six handle of $7,596,347.12 and a record Pick Six pool of $10,870,852.60. Thirteen perfect tickets were worth $576,064.40 each, while 807 consolation tickets with five winners each were worth $2,240.40. A single winning ticket would have paid a record $7.4 million.
The highest Pick Six payoff of $1,540,401.60 to a single perfect ticket at Hollywood Park came on June 2, 2006, when the day began with a Pick Six carryover of $526,158.
