INGLEWOOD, Calif. (April 15, 2008) - The first round of Hollywood Park's Spring Handicapping Contest will take place opening weekend of the 60-day Spring/Summer Meet with contestants ultimately vying for $5,000 in cash prizes and a big screen Plasma TV.
The contest begins on Friday night, April 25. Participants can enter on Friday, Saturday or Sunday of opening weekend. To be eligible for Round Two on May 24, contestants must participate on Friday, Saturday or Sunday of opening weekend.
Participants selecting the most show horses (first, second or third) on races three through eight will advance to Round Two. Participants picking the most place horses (first or second) May 24 will qualify for the Final Round on June 21. In addition, the contestant whose mythical $2 Place wagers earn the most money in Round Two will win a Plasma TV.
Contestants making the Final Round will select horses to win in races three through eight. The top three participants whose mythical $2 win wagers earn the most money will share $5,000.
