Hollywood Park Pushes Back Cushion Track
Work To April 9 With Rain In The Forecast
INGLEWOOD, Calif. (March 28, 2008) - Hollywood Park, planning to refurbish its Cushion Track with the addition of fibers and wax prior to the 2008 Spring/Summer Meet, has rescheduled the procedure for April 9.
The work, which will not interrupt training, was originally scheduled for April 2, but the local forecast now calls for up to one inch of rain that day.
A similar procedure took place following the 63-day Spring/Summer Meet in July of 2007.
Hollywood Park's 60-day Spring/Summer Meet begins Wednesday, April 23, and runs through Sunday, July 13. It will be the fourth Hollywood Park meeting conducted on the synthetic surface, which was installed prior the 2006 Autumn Meet.
